The Role
As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a critical role in clinic operations, patient experience, and physician relationships. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and prior experience in a diagnostic imaging or medical clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule patients efficiently across modalities, prioritizing STAT and urgent cases
Manage patient escalations with professionalism, empathy, and resolution-focused communication
Handle referring physician and clinic escalations, ensuring timely follow-up and service recovery
Receive, review, and schedule referrals from fax, phone, and online booking platforms
Use Velox confidently for referral intake, scheduling, and workflow management (experience required)
Coordinate and schedule technologists based on clinic needs and patient volume
Support outbound communications to referring clinics, including flyers, updates, and relationship-building initiatives
Monitor and respond to Google reviews, escalating feedback internally when required
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy and clinic protocols
Act as a calm, organized point of contact in a high-volume environment

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a medical or diagnostic imaging receptionist (required)
Velox system experience (required)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience handling escalations with confidence and professionalism
Patient-focused mindset with a warm, composed demeanour
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
