Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for clients in Yorkton. This role involves supporting individuals with various needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring hospice or dementia care. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing quality of life through personalized care, assistance with daily activities, and creating a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide medication administration and monitor health conditions as prescribed
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a clean living space
Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Monitor for signs of health deterioration or emergencies and respond appropriately
Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and any changes in condition
Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care is highly desirable
Strong background in senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities
Compassionate attitude with excellent patient care skills
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs safely
Experience with medication administration and basic nursing tasks
Capable of meal preparation tailored to specific dietary restrictions or preferences
Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to caregiving duties
Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
