SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Camp Worker 3 (Janitorial) .
About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Camp Operations, the Camp Worker 3 (Janitorial), will be responsible for working with other kitchen, housekeeping and janitorial staff to ensure company hygiene standards are met as well as health standards as required by SK HACCP (Health Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Ability to follow a workload.
Complete tasks within the allotted time.
Follow cleaning / sanitation protocol for the mill and mine dry change rooms.
Follow cleaning / sanitation protocol for Administration and other site buildings.
Follow cleaning / sanitation protocol for room weekly and completes housekeeping.
Follow cleaning / sanitation protocol for washrooms/toilets and hallways.
Sanitize work and customer area.
Operate vacuum.
Operate laundry equipment.
Empty garbage from dining room and bedrooms.
Any other duties as assigned by the department.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
Must demonstrate good communication skills.
Be a team player.
A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.
Able to work well independently with little supervision.
Physically demanding position. Duties include repetitive bending, pulling, carrying, high lifting and heavy pushing (up to 50lbs).
Your Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous related experience working in remote, fly in / fly out camp site would be an asset.
About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 11-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
