Vice President of Finance, Commercial – FFUN Group

This is a senior finance leadership role for someone who knows that great finance teams do more than report the numbers. You’ll oversee the financial performance and accounting practices of multiple businesses and divisions, lead a talented team of finance professionals, and partner with senior operational leaders to improve business performance, identify opportunities, protect the business, drive accountability, and turn financial information into action.
We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between the big picture and the details. Someone who can walk into a financial review meeting and clearly explain what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what we’re going to do about it. If that sounds like you, we want to meet you.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the financial reporting and accounting practices across multiple divisions, ensuring timely, accurate, and meaningful financial information.
- Lead financial analysis across dealerships and divisions, including KPI performance, trends, budget and prior-year comparisons, return analysis, and cash flow.
- Partner with operational leaders to understand business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive better financial results.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of financial statements, lender reporting, borrowing base calculations, covenant reporting, and other financial requirements.
- Identify unusual trends, errors, risks, and performance concerns, and bring forward clear recommendations and resolution plans.
- Continuously improve financial reporting, accounting processes, internal controls, and the way financial information is presented and used throughout the organization.
- Ensure balance sheet accounts are accurate, reconciled, and supported by strong accounting practices.
- Lead the year-end audit process and oversee the preparation of working paper files for external accountants.
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal controls that protect company assets, including cash, inventory, and capital assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable indirect tax legislation and other financial and regulatory requirements.
- Coach, develop, and lead accounting professionals, building capability, accountability, and strong succession within the finance team.
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to accounting teams across multiple businesses.
- Contribute as a senior leader to the continued growth, scalability, and financial strength of FFUN Group.
What we're looking for:
- CPA designation.
- Progressive senior finance leadership experience, ideally within a complex, multi-location, multi-entity, or high-growth organization.
- Proven experience leading financial reporting, analysis, accounting operations, internal controls, audit processes, and compliance.
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights and recommendations.
- Experience partnering with operational executives and senior leaders to improve business performance.
- Demonstrated ability to identify financial risks, challenge assumptions, solve complex problems, and drive action.
- Proven success leading, coaching, and developing finance and accounting professionals.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and a genuine interest in using technology, data, and process improvement to build a more scalable finance function.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization where growth, change, and complexity are part of the job.
- Automotive experience is an asset.
