As the Personal Lines Insurance Advisor, you will provide exceptional insurance advice and service to clients while managing a diverse personal insurance portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide outstanding service to new and existing clients by identifying their insurance needs and recommending appropriate coverage solutions.
- Build trusted, long-term client relationships through responsive communication and proactive service.
- Prepare quotations, process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Review client coverage regularly to identify opportunities for enhanced protection and additional insurance products.
- Convert inbound inquiries into new business while identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling across personal insurance products.
- Contribute to branch growth by delivering a consultative sales experience focused on client needs and retention.
- Work closely with insurance carriers, underwriters, and internal team members to deliver timely and effective client solutions.
- Maintain accurate client records while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Level 1 General Insurance Licence (or equivalent provincial licensing) in good standing.
- Previous experience in a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor, Account Manager, or similar insurance role.
- Experience working within an insurance brokerage environment is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of personal insurance products including automobile, homeowner, tenant, condominium, and recreational vehicle insurance.
- Experience using broker management systems and insurance company portals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for customer service.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative approach to working within a team environment.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and confidently recommend insurance solutions that meet client needs.
