Administrative Assistant - Level 2

Slave Lake, AB

We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated Level 2 Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This position reports directly to the Controller. If you enjoy staying organized, learning new systems, and supporting a variety of business functions, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with Accounts Payable administration.
Assist with Accounts Receivable administration.
Complete credit card reconciliations.
Support month-end and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Maintain digital fleet records.
Prepare accounting reports and spreadsheets.
Coordinate employee onboarding and HR administration.
Assist with process improvements and documentation.
Train and mentor Administrative Assistant I staff.
Coordinate company compliance documentation.
Lead administrative projects and company initiatives.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate marketing initiatives.
Assist with software implementations and process improvements.
Cross-train in additional accounting and HR functions.
Provide coverage for other administrative staff during absences.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements:

Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with a clean abstract required.
Previous administrative experience is required; accounting experience is considered an asset.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and business systems.
Experience with Sage 50 Accounting software is considered an asset.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
