Junior Accounting Clerk – Automotive Dealership

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

West Edmonton Mall Toyota is seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk to join our busy automotive dealership accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented individual looking to build their accounting career in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

Post and reconcile Daily Deposits.
Assist with posting, processing and reconciling Accounts Payable invoices.
Monitor and reconcile Contracts in Transit (CIT) and follow up on outstanding funding.
Post factory/manufacturer invoices.
Assist with bank, credit card, vendor, and General Ledger reconciliations.
Assist with vehicle deal accounting
Assist with month-end procedures, journal entries, and accounting schedules.
Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Accounting Certificate or equivalent post-secondary accounting education required.
Minimum 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
Automotive dealership accounting experience is an asset.
Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds (ERA Ignite), or similar dealership software is an asset.
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Professional, dependable, and willing to learn.
