Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating heavy-duty trucks to deliver freight across various locations, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, vehicle maintenance, and safety procedures. Experience with forklift operation, heavy equipment, and automotive repair is considered a valuable asset. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated destinations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
Assist with vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including automotive troubleshooting when necessary.
Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during operations.
Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Report any incidents or mechanical issues promptly to supervisors for resolution.

Skills

Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving operations.
Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus.
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of safety regulations, including DOT compliance.
Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and clients.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on long-haul or local routes.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
