The Starlight in Stratford is hiring an experienced line cook to join our chef-led kitchen for the busy season and beyond.
We’re a dinner-focused independent restaurant with a strong food program and a small collaborative team. Looking for someone confident on the line, organized during service, and excited to cook thoughtful food at a high standard.
The Starlight is a busy, independently owned restaurant in downtown Stratford, open six days a week with a focus on seasonal, house-made food and a thoughtful, evolving menu. We are a community-focused space that pairs our food program with live music and curated events year-round, creating consistent energy and strong service volume.
Under the leadership of our Executive Chef (formerly Toronto-based) Garth Legree, we’re refining and expanding our food program while building a skilled back-of-house team to support the next phase of growth. We are also expanding into brunch and lunch service, creating opportunities across both day and evening shifts.
Our kitchen is structured, professional, and fast-paced — grounded in respect, consistency, and teamwork. We are specifically looking to attract experienced chefs and cooks who understand pace, food safety, organization, and the rhythm of service in a busy restaurant environment.
Starting wages range from $21–$23 per hour, plus tips, depending on experience, skill level, and position. Festival season contracts are available, as well as long-term full-time positions for those looking to grow with us.
