JOB DESCRIPTION

An Accounting Clerk performs the entry of accounting data under the direct supervision of the CFO.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performs office duties such as opening mail, answering the phone, maintaining office supplies, and filing.
Reviews and balances daily sales activity and enters applicable information into master spreadsheets.
Prepares daily deposit and brings the deposit to the bank.
Posts Accounts Receivable payments into the billing system.
Reviews, enters and files Accounts Payable invoices.
Performs three-way match of purchase orders, receiving reports and invoices.
Generates payment batches on a monthly basis, and on-demand cheques as required.
Performs collection duties as may be required. This may include contacting delinquent customers, reviewing and resolving customer billing issues and negotiating payment arrangements.
Prepares letters to customers, suppliers and other parties as may be required.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience
Strong work ethic
Enthusiastic personality
Strong desire to work for a reputable and profitable store

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
