CNC Machine Operator
The ideal candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of blueprints while meeting quality requirements and production rates. They should be team players capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment. A confident and alert individual will be best suited for this position. Performance will be evaluated based on the ability to meet production rates and quality standards. Opportunities for advancement and growth may include roles such as setup operator, CNC setter, lead hand, and eventually management.
What does a CNC Machine Operator do?
- Operate CNC milling and lathe centers
- Operate manual mills and varied work centers
- Meet run rates as per the process routing sheet
- Set-up and operate saw
- Complete paperwork as required
- Notifies Lead-hand / Setters of discrepancies
- Ensures that all documentation requirements are met i.e. S.P.C, precision records and time sheets
- Ensures accuracy of parts prior to leaving workstation
- Deburrs parts
- Perform duties as instructed by Setters
- Maintains superior housekeeping of machine, work area and plant facilities
- Must be prepared to work Midnight Continental Shift
- Other related duties as required
What do you bring to the table
- Strong knowledge of inspection & measuring equipment
- Strong knowledge of blueprints
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma
- Must have experience with computers
- Willingness to learn
- Attention to detail due to inspection requirements
- CNC training courses (preferred)
- Mechanically inclined
- 1-2 years’ experience in CNC or manual machine (preferred)
