We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the end-to-end development, configuration, administration, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and development teams to translate business and configuration requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions that integrate effectively with enterprise workflows.
This is a hybrid role requiring attendance at our downtown Toronto and/or designated office at a minimum of four days per week. This requirement is subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end ServiceNow development across Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, HR Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, and Service Portal.
- Administer the ServiceNow platform, including server installation and configuration, platform upgrades, instance cloning, performance optimization, and activities supporting system reliability and efficiency.
- Gather core configuration requirements from stakeholders, translate requirements into design models, and manage implementation activities in collaboration with developers.
- Customize ServiceNow applications to meet organizational requirements and support integration with existing systems.
- Design and configure ServiceNow modules to align with Service Portfolio Management strategies and provide visibility into services and their lifecycles.
- Design and implement functionality using Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Client Scripts.
- Develop and manage the ServiceNow service catalog, including catalog items, options, and workflows that facilitate user service requests.
- Configure and use Import Sets to support data loading from external files or databases into ServiceNow.
- Apply Agile practices and Test Driven Development principles to support software quality.
- Analyze business requirements and design ServiceNow solutions that integrate with enterprise workflows.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Certified System Administrator (CSA), mandatory.
- Certified Application Developer (CAD), mandatory.
- Certified Implementation Specialist, mandatory.
- Extensive experience with end-to-end ServiceNow development.
- Strong ServiceNow administration experience, including platform upgrades, instance cloning, installation/configuration, and performance optimization.
- Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Experience customizing ServiceNow applications and integrating them with existing enterprise systems.
- Experience developing Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Client Scripts.
- Experience developing and managing ServiceNow Service Catalog functionality and Import Sets.
- Strong data mining, data analysis, and decision modelling skills.
Assets
- Understanding of JIRA/JTMF and Confluence platforms.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience implementing Test Driven Development principles.
