About the Role:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices and employee expense claims, responding to internal and external vendors, ensuring payments are made on time and within payment terms, responsible for issuing cheques as well as preparing wire payments (on a weekly basis), reconciling vendor statements and ensure invoices are being processed to the proper expense accounts. The Accounts Payable Clerk will maintain good customer relations and identify and solve problems. The successful candidate will also perform clerical duties, such as word processing, filing and record systems, mail , faxing and photocopying. The Accounts Payable Clerk will also assist in other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

High school Diploma.
Completion of secondary school would be considered an asset.
Preference will be given to candidates with completion of college or other courses in accounting, bookkeeping or computer operation.
Must have strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
Good writing and communication skills.
Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
Must have attention to detail and good time management skills.
Must understand the importance of confidentiality.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
