The Opportunity:
REACH Child and Youth Development Society is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Analyst to join our team as the coordinator of a Surrey 24-hour respite house for children with complex developmental and behavioural conditions.
The Coordinator’s role is to:
- Oversee the daily operations of the program,
- Provide administrative and clinical supervision to program staff,
- Provide support to a caseload of 8-10 families.
This role focuses on creating safe, structured, and nurturing environments where children can build skills, regulate emotions, and thrive. To ensure safety, the coordinator must be flexible to be on-call on a rotating basis to assist if emergencies arise
The Program Coordinator also provides supervision and support to a Behaviour Analyst who designs, implements, and monitors individualized behaviour support plans using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centred practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directing day to day operations
- Recruiting and supervising staff
- Overseeing children’s plans and their implementation
- Staff training and mentorship
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures and program goals
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Assisting in overseeing the program budget
- Maintaining effective relationships with MCFD
- Ensuring all practices align with ethical standards, child protection policies, and organizational values
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field
- BCBA Certification
- At least 3 years experience working with children with complex behavioural needs
- At least 2 years experience supervising and managing front line staff
- NVCI an asset
