Full job description

FineLine Tube Products, Inc. is a growing manufacturer located in Upper Brookside, Nova Scotia, with over 20 years of experience producing high-quality automotive components. We specialize in brake, fuel, and transmission lines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Night Shift Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This position is scheduled for 8-hour evening shifts, Monday to Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. This position will be responsible for overseeing production operations and supporting the production team during the night shift.

The successful candidate will complete approximately 1–3 months of training during the day before transitioning to the night shift. Training hours may be scheduled from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM for those who are interested.

This position includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute unpaid 15-minute breaks per shift.

Previous production or manufacturing experience is required. Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. We provide hands-on training to ensure your success in the role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and motivate employees.
Experience operating CNC machinery, Line cutting machinery and other production equipment.
Lead end-to-end production operations, from raw material reception, ensuring timelines and customer requirements are met.
Promote a positive and productive work environment.
Use hand tools, calipers, and measuring instruments to ensure product accuracy.
Perform quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
Monitor production activities to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Identify and address production, quality, or equipment issues as they arise.
Communicate production needs, issues, and updates to management.
Cross-train in multiple production areas and assist with other manufacturing tasks as needed.

Note: This role does not require heavy lifting (all items are under 10 lbs).

What We’re Looking For

Experience in production or manufacturing.
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate employees.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Comfortable using basic computer programs.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions when required.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.

Nice to have (but not required):

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality control processes.
Experience using hand tools.
Experience with automotive components or metal tubing.

Training & Work Environment

We provide comprehensive, hands-on training for the tube bending process, including machine operation, part identification, proper tube loading, safety procedures, and quality inspection.

No previous bending experience is required. We're looking for dependable people who pay attention to detail, take pride in producing quality products, and are willing to learn.

Pay:

$24-$26 an hour, based on experience.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
