Full job description

Lambton Conveyor Limited is a leading manufacturer of grain handling and storage equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking General Labourers at our Wallaceburg, Ontario location.

Responsibilities:

· Reporting to the Supervisor, the General Labourer will perform day-to-day activities in the manufacturing area. Responsibilities for this position may include:

· Use power hand tools such as drills, angle grinders, and impact wrenches

· Operate industrial material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts

· Sort, label and package material and products

· Perform daily machine checks

· Stand for long periods of time

· May be required to work overtime

· Practice excellent housekeeping

· Assembling sheet metal parts with fasteners

Qualifications:

· General manufacturing experience

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders

· Physically fit to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

· Able to read a tape measure, count and do simple math calculations

· Keen attention to detail

· Good listening and communication skills

· Safety-conscious

· Ability to adapt to changing working conditions

· Capable of working independently with little supervision

· Must own CSA approved safety shoes
