Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping who are looking for flexible, part-time work. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and ensuring the integrity of financial data using various accounting software tools. Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and record keeping
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Wage point, Lightspeed, to maintain financial records
Process accounts payable a transactions accurately and timely
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Provide weekly financial reports
Assist with budgeting processes and financial reporting as needed
Support payroll processing and related activities
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audit purposes
Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping procedures and ensure compliance with company policies

Requirements

Proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting functions
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to perform account analysis and maintain accurate financial records
Familiarity with payroll processing is a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Prior experience in budgeting and account reconciliation is preferred
Strong communication skills and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information
