Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a clean, hygienic, and well-maintained environment for employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional setting by providing essential cleaning services that support our organization’s operations.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Conduct specialized commercial cleaning tasks to meet facility standards
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate department
Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations
Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent facility upkeep
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
Maintain public pool readings and follow Windsor Essex County health Unit safety and guidlines

Skills

Proven experience in general cleaning or commercial cleaning preferred
Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance and basic repair skills advantageous
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers effectively
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods

This role is essential in creating a clean and welcoming environment. Candidates should be reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
