ROLE SUMMARY

Urgent Requirement – Machine Operator (No Students)

Location: Woodstock, ON

Pay: $20/hr + shift premium (1.25/hr for afternoon and $2/hr for night shifts)

Shift: Rotational

Timings: 8am-6pm/8am-4pm

Must have experience in Manufacturing plant

Forklift is an asset

Able to lift upto 50lbs

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the automated manufacturing process, correct drifts and ensure productivity;
Perform equipment inspections and cleaning according to procedures;
Adjust equipment to meet specifications;
Verify product quality according to established standards;
Enter production data into computerized management systems;
Perform first-level maintenance tasks;
Ensure proper communication and transmission of information between teams;
Suggest measures to improve production activities and occupational health and safety;
Perform any other related tasks requested by the supervisor.

QUALITIES REQUIRED

Education

High school diploma;
Mechanical or chemical education (An asset);

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience working on a production line;
Experience in the chemical industry, especially in the processing of plastics (An asset);
Experience in a leadership position (An asset);

Knowledge and Competencies

Knowledge of panel-controlled machine;
Knowledge of industrial maintenance (An asset);
Experience in reporting results, working with the ERP system (An asset);
Knowledge of the French language (An asset).

Skills and attitudes

Strong team spirit, good work ethic;
Sensitive to workplace safety;
Computer literate;
Willingness to learn;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Handling of loads up to 50 lbs.
