Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Vice President for Land Acquisitions to lead our team on a full-time basis at our location in Woodstock, ON.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the development strategy for renewable energy projects in Canada and support the growth of Prowind’s Canadian business
Manage and develop the Canadian team (approx. 5 people)
Identify and secure new renewable energy project opportunities and advance wind, solar, and battery storage projects through the development process, including permitting and land acquisition
Conduct financial evaluations of project opportunities and review project economics and risks
Build and maintain relationships with landowners, communities, consultants, and development partners
Represent Prowind in discussions with stakeholders, regulators, and industry partners
Monitor policy developments and market trends affecting renewable energy in Canada

Requirements

Senior leadership experience in renewable energy development or a related industry
Proven experience in project development, preferably in wind energy and strong understanding of renewable energy markets and regulatory frameworks
Experience in financial analysis and evaluation of development projects
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
University degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience
Fluency in English is required for business communication and stakeholder management
German language skills would be considered an asset
Willingness to travel
