Full job description

NOW HIRING!
We are currently recruiting for Part Time School Aides to help out in the schools during the lunch hour/nutrition break. We are searching for potential candidates in Essex, Harrow, Kingsville, Comber, and Leamington areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students during lunch and nutritional breaks
Monitor student behavior in classrooms, lunch areas, and outdoor/indoor play spaces
Engage students in indoor/outdoor games and activities
Use effective strategies to support positive behavior and interaction
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students
Assist in guiding students to make appropriate choices
Ensure compliance with school board policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience working with children and/or youth
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance (required)
Negative TB test results (required)
Fit-for-work note may be requested
Ability to address behavior issues respectfully and effectively
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
First Aid and Epi-Pen training (considered an asset)
Ability to follow all procedures and policies of the Greater Essex County District School Board

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Essex, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

supervising children: 1 year (required)
