Our client, a prominent and well-respected leader in their industry, is looking to fill an Accounts Payable Clerk position within their accounting team in Halifax. This role focuses on supporting backlog and helping the team following a recent transition from manual processes to a dynamic ERP system. The ideal candidate has strong accounts payable experience and solid technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

Perform accurate and timely data entry for accounts payable transactions
Process invoices, purchase orders, and other payment documentation
Assist with disbursing non-payroll payments to vendors, suppliers, and other entities
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external vendors regarding billing inquiries
Assist with daily bank reconciliations and related support tasks

Experience & Attributes for Success:

1–2 years of accounts payable or relevant accounting experience preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems and strong technical aptitude is a definite asset
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Availability to commit to the full duration of the contract
