Full job description

Start your career working on turbine engines – not just learning about them.

We’re looking for a mechanically minded, detail-focused person to join our workshop as an Apprentice Gas Turbine Overhaul Technician.

This is a hands-on role working with large industrial gas turbines, similar in principle to aircraft engines, specifically GE’s LM2500 which are used across the energy sector. If you’ve studied aircraft maintenance, gas turbine technology, millwrighting, or rotating equipment, this is a direct pathway into industry.

What you’ll do initially

Clean and prepare turbine components for inspection
Support strip, inspection and rebuild processes
Carry out basic inspection and measurement tasks
Follow technical manuals and QA processes
Assist experienced technicians with repairs and assembly

This work is critical, it underpins the quality and reliability of every turbine we overhaul.

What you’ll grow into

Component inspection and defect identification
Engine troubleshooting and diagnostics
Complex rebuild and repair work

What we’re looking for:

Recent graduate (or final year) from:

- Gas Turbine Technician programs

- Aircraft Maintenance / AME programs

- Millwright or heavy mechanical foundation

- Wind turbine or rotating equipment training

Engaged and interested in engines, turbines, and how things work
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Comfortable working with tools, manuals, and procedures

It would be an added bonus if you already had some workshop or hands-on mechanical experience, in particular experience with inspection processes or non-destructive testing (NDT) concepts.

Within 12–24 months, you’ll have:
Strong capability in turbine disassembly, inspection and rebuild
Confidence working to technical manuals and QA standards
A pathway into more complex troubleshooting work

Work Location

We’re located in Fort St John, British Columbia, and opportunities may arise to work on customer sites when required. Relocation support may be available for candidates within Canada. Please note that applicants must have the right to work in Canada, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship or cover international relocation costs.

Hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Optional overtime when available.
