CNC Operator and Programmer Bridge Saw (Stone Countertops) –
Mosaic Granite & Marble | Edmonton, AB
$28-35/hour | On-site | Full-time

About Mosaic Granite & Marble
Mosaic Granite & Marble is an Alberta-owned company based in Edmonton, serving homeowners and builders since 1977. We fabricate and install custom stone surfaces including kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, fireplaces, and other custom stone projects.

The Role
We’re hiring an experienced CNC Operator to run our STONE bridge saw in a high-paced countertop production environment. This is a hands-on shop role: you’ll operate the machine, manage CAD/CAM prep (Rhino 5), AUTOCAD, ALPHACAM,maintain quality, and keep production organized using our inhouse systems.

NON-NEGOTIABLE: You must have hands-on experience with an CAD/CAM Drawing.

If your experience is CNC in other industries (metal/wood/etc.) but not stone countertop bridge saw production, this role won’t be a fit.

Priority #1: consistent, accurate and timely production on the CNC Saw/

What You’ll Do (Daily/Weekly)

Operate and manage production on the CNC bridge saw
Prepare and process files using our workflow: TEMPLATER → Rhino 5 → DXF → CNC
Convert templates into clean digital cut files and verify measurements/tolerances
Set up slabs and tooling, and monitor feed/speed during cutting
Execute cutting processes while maintaining quality standards and minimizing waste
Label every piece after cutting to support polishing and installation teams
Troubleshoot machine/program issues and escalate maintenance needs to the management proactively.
Maintain safe operations by following shop safety procedures and regulations

What Success Looks Like

Jobs are cut accurately, consistently, and on schedule
Files are clean, organized, and ready to run with minimal rework
Every cut piece is labeled correctly.
Production is well-documented (issues flagged early, clear job status reporting)
You can perform under deadline pressure and push through large jobs when needed

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

3+ years experience in CAD/CAM Drawing and CNC Production.
Strong CAD/CAM ability required to run production — Rhino 5 preferred
Strong math skills and attention to detail (measurements, tolerances, layout accuracy)
Strong organization + reporting (production logs, job tracking, clean file handling)
Ability to troubleshoot problems and stay calm under time pressure

Nice-to-Haves

Hands-on experience with templating workflows
Familiarity with polishing and installation workflows (understanding downstream needs)

Schedule & Overtime Expectations

Mon–Fri: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Flexibility is required — it’s normal to start earlier or stay later when production demands it (large multi-unit jobs, full-house projects, tight deadlines).

Compensation

$28-35/hour depending on the candidate`s experience and skills.

Shop Manager
