Funeral Home Director — Sylvan Lake, Alberta

Are you calm under pressure, great with people, and somehow able to keep 47 things organized at once?

We’re looking for a Funeral Home Director to join our team in beautiful Sylvan Lake, Alberta.

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a real difference for families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We’re looking for someone compassionate, organized, professional, and maybe just a little bit funny (because sometimes laughter is exactly what people need).

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting families through the funeral planning process with compassion and care
Arranging and coordinating funeral, memorial, and celebration-of-life services
Working with cemeteries, crematoriums, clergy, vendors, and other professionals
Preparing and completing necessary documentation
Coordinating visitations, services, transportation, and all the little details in between

· All types and all kinds of removals from all situations

Caring for the deceased with dignity, respect, and professionalism
Keeping things organized—even when life gets a little chaotic
Being a calm, reassuring presence for families when they need it most

What We’re Looking For

Licensed and experienced Funeral Home Director
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion
Someone who can work independently but also knows the importance of being part of a team

We’re a small-town, family-owned funeral home proud to serve Sylvan Lake area and Rocky Mountain House. Being family-owned means we believe in keeping things personal, knowing our families, being there when they need us, and treating every person who walks through our doors like more than just a name on a file.

We’re a close-knit team that works hard, supports each other, and believes funeral service should be professional, compassionate, and personal. We may be a small operation, but we care big—and we like to have a little fun along the way.
