We supply gravel, asphalt paving, ready-mix concrete, and offer reliable transportation services in trucking throughout Alberta, including Calgary, Red Deer, Cold Lake, Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, and Edmonton.

Our team is looking for full-time seasonal experienced Barricade Truck Driver/ Traffic Control Person in our Edmonton, AB location. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:

Key Responsibilities:

Drive barricade trucks and arrow boards to and from job sites
Load, unload, and set up traffic control equipment (signs, cones, barricades, arrow boards)
Direct traffic using approved PPE, hand signals, and signage
Ensure work zones comply with safety regulations and traffic control plans
Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete tasks on schedule
Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating barricade or pilot trucks
First Aid certification
Knowledge of local traffic regulations and construction practices
Experience with temporary traffic control plans
Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or higher) with clean abstract
Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification and/or Alberta Temporary Traffic Control (ATTC) certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in road construction or traffic control preferred
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures
Physically fit (lifting, standing for extended periods)
Reliable transportation to job sites
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Employees must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and
Pass a pre-employment drug screening
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Assets:

Previous experience operating barricade or pilot trucks
Previous experience as a Traffic Control Person/Flagger
CSTS, WHMIS, or other safety certifications
Experience working around heavy equipment
