Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cabinet and Trim Shop Help to join our woodworking and construction team. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cabinet making, trim installation, and various carpentry tasks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and capable of supporting the shop’s daily operations to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely project completion.

Responsibilities

Assist with the fabrication and assembly of cabinets, trim, and other woodwork components
Support the installation of cabinets, molding, and trim in residential or commercial projects
Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to assist with project execution
Prepare materials for finishing processes such as sanding, staining, or painting as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Support the team with general construction tasks including framing, rebar installation, or flooring installation as required
Assist with material handling, including heavy lifting of supplies or finished products

Skills

Basic blueprint reading skills and familiarity with schematics are preferred
Experience or knowledge in woodworking, cabinetry, or general construction is a plus
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other shop machinery safely
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
Good physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
Handyman experience or background in construction estimating is beneficial
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to learning new skills in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
