Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. The position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and engage with diverse guests.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and upselling opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and serving
Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and cleaning work areas to uphold cleanliness standards
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Address guest inquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or service as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures in the food industry
Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and making change accurately
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks comfortably
A friendly attitude with excellent guest service skills and a team-oriented mindset
Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends or holidays if required
