Full job description

Overview
The Smokin' Birds is a BBQ food truck serving meats, sandwiches, burgers and vegetables cooked over wood fire. We are a small team looking for a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher/Prep Cook. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our food truck. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for a good attitude with a willingness to learn. If you enjoy working in hospitality, we are a busy location with opportunities to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment and dishwashing machine area
Maintain a clean and organized work station
Cleaning tables and service areas
Remove garbage and recycling
Sweeping, mopping and deep cleaning tasks
Assist in basic food preparation duties
Receiving deliveries and unpacking product, refilling supplies as needed
Standing, walking, moving up and down steps and service ramps
Lifting and bending up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Prior experience in kitchen environments is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Willingness to learn new skills

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
