Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Host/Hostess and become the welcoming face of our restaurant! In this lively role, you’ll create a warm, inviting atmosphere by greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Your energetic personality and excellent communication skills will ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they walk through the door. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, making them feel immediately at home
Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring smooth seating flow
Coordinate with the serving staff to optimize table assignments and minimize wait times
Answer guest inquiries via phone with courteous and clear communication, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations
Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
Assist with guest needs during their visit, including providing menus and answering questions about the restaurant’s offerings
Support team members in delivering outstanding customer service by fostering a positive and energetic environment

Requirements

Previous experience in guest services, food service, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key!
Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally
Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Experience in serving or hotel environments is advantageous but not mandatory
Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads when necessary
