Raison d’être du poste

Relevant du superviseur des opérations, le ou la titulaire du poste devra accompagner le peintre dans les activités quotidiennes du département de peinture er effectuer la préparation des pièces pour qu’elles soient peinturées.

Responsabilités

Effectuer le nettoyage des pièces avant le masquage et le sablage;
Sabler et masquer des pièces avant qu’elles soient peinturées ;
Décaper les pièces au besoin;
Effectuer les retouches des pièces;
Préparer de la chambre de peinture selon la fréquence d’utilisation (changement de filtres);
Polir ou tremper les outils requis pour peinturer (crochet et rack);
Nettoyer les équipements de sablage et peinture;
Assister le peintre au besoin ;
Respecter les normes de sécurité;
Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes

Exigences d’emploi

Scolarité requise

Diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent
Formation en peinture industrielle ou en traitement de surface (un atout)

Compétences techniques

Connaissance des normes AS9100 (un atout)
Connaissance des pratiques dans l’industrie de l’aviation (un atout)
Excellente maîtrise du français (oral et écrit).

Position Summary

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Paint Helper will support the Painter in the department's daily activities and prepare parts for the painting process.

Key Responsibilities

Clean parts prior to masking and sanding.
Sand and mask parts before painting.
Strip paint from parts when required.
Perform touch-ups on painted parts.
Prepare the paint booth based on usage frequency, including filter changes.
Polish or soak painting tools (hooks and racks) as required.
Clean sanding and painting equipment.
Assist the Painter as needed.
Follow all health and safety procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job RequirementsEducation

High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Training in industrial painting or surface treatment is considered an asset.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of AS9100 standards is an asset.
Knowledge of aerospace industry practices is an asset.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.

Personal Skills

Strong attention to detail.
Excellent manual dexterity.
Team player.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
