The VP, Packaged Gases leads the end-to-end performance of a large, complex packaged gases business, with full accountability for safety, commercial execution, operations, distribution, production, customer experience, and financial results. This role owns the strategic direction and operating performance of an approximately US$500M business, driving sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion, margin improvement, and operating profit delivery while ensuring alignment with Linde’s safety, compliance, and values-based culture.

The position also drives business modernization initiatives, leveraging automation, digital solutions, and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve performance and efficiency

- The role is best suited for someone with a Bachelor’s degree, while an MBA or other advanced business degree would be considered a strong asset

You will bring 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial, operations, or general management roles, including responsibility for complex, multi-site operations

A strong safety and compliance mindset is essential, with experience leading teams in highly regulated and operationally complex environments

You will have a proven track record of P&L ownership, successfully driving revenue growth, margin expansion, profitability, and disciplined resource management

The role requires a deep understanding of packaged and industrial gases, along with experience in production, distribution, logistics, sales, pricing, and customer-focused operations

You will be comfortable developing strategy, translating business priorities into actionable plans, establishing KPIs, and driving execution across multiple functions

Proven people leadership is critical, with experience building high-performing teams, developing future leaders, strengthening organizational capability, and driving employee engagement

You will bring strong executive-level communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, customers, and key stakeholders
