Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents as they arise.

Duties

Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce company policies and procedures regarding security protocols.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or suspicious activities.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and implementing preventive measures.
Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, visitors, and employees.

Qualifications

Previous experience in surveillance or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is an advantage.
Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technologies is beneficial.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
Must be physically fit to perform patrol duties which may involve walking or standing for extended periods.
A valid security license may be required based on local regulations.
