Position: Part-Time Behavioral Consultant

Location: Williams Lake, 100 Mile House & surrounding areas

Hours: 12.5 hours per week

Wage: as per the Collective Agreement

Summary:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring a Part-Time Behavioral Consultant. In this role, the successful candidate will provide positive behavior support planning to adults referred by Community Living BC. The goal is to enhance supports provided to the individual while reducing challenging behaviors. Resiliency, empathy, patience, and the ability to set and maintain healthy boundaries are qualities of people who establish a meaningful career with Axis.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in (preferably in the field of Behavioral Psychology or related)
At least 2 years' experience in working with people with developmental disabilities and/or autism, with some of those years in working with families of the individuals and in proactive collaboration with other professionals in the field.
Experience with applied behavioral analysis, comprehensive functional assessments, as well as creating, writing, and implementing positive behavioral support plans is required
Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s license
Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
Effective written and verbal communication
