Company Overview

Cafe Baffico is a neighbourhood bakery and cafe located in east Hamilton. We specialize in making sourdough doughnuts and other baked goods, having successfully transitioned from a restaurant to a bakery since our opening in 2018.

Summary

We are looking to hire a baker or pastry chef to join our growing team. We specialize in making sourdough doughnuts, and other pastries and are looking to both increase our production as well as find someone who can help with managing our baking team. A good candidate is someone with some experience in the industry looking to grow within themselves and as part of an expanding team. Chefs looking to transition into baking/pastry are also welcome to apply.

Some of the duties are responsibilities will be as follows:

Mixing doughs, managing proofing schedules, making glazes and toppings for doughnuts and pastries. Managing staffing schedules focusing on increasing productivity and efficiency within an already functioning team.

Creating doughnut/pastry flavours for seasonal menu changes.

Maintaining a clean work environment, positive attitude, communicating well with other staff members and customers when in the shops. Managing a small team and production of products 6 days a week.

Must be able to work early mornings as shifts are currently from 600am-300pm and weekend shifts are required. We are open Wednesday to Sunday so these are the required shifts for full time employment at the moment. +
