Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will support the Dentist Anesthesiologist in our office setting. Your expertise and skills will be crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patients. No evenings or weekends! This position is casual and you will have at minimum 3 shifts per month, but typically will be more.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' health conditions
- Administer IV medications as prescribed by dentist anesthesiologist
- Monitor patients' vital signs and record perioperatively including post op recovery care - Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on pre and post anesthesia care
- Adhere to all office policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Skills:
- Care for variety of patients including pediatrics and special needs
- Proficiency in starting and maintaining IV lines
- Experience in acute care settings, such as emergency rooms or intensive care units
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is a plus
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the province of Ontario
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly
