As a Union Shipper/Receiver, you’ll be a key team member, helping to keep our operations running smoothly and our clients coming back for more.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be responsible for the shipping and receiving operations of the branch;
- Ensure all shipping documents are accurate and submitted;
- Be responsible for yard, shop, & warehouse organization and cleanliness;
- Assist customers picking up and returning product;
- Load and unload suppliers;
- Assist with fleet drivers and outside carriers;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- The ability to provide various shipping and receiving duties in a busy, potentially stressful environment;
- Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products, with hands-on experience in minor repairs and service/maintenance requirements for various types of construction equipment;
- Excellent paperwork and organizational skills, with an affinity for process management;
- Ability to work independently when required;
- Willingness to adapt to possible overtime hours;
- Good communication and people skills;
- Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
