Sharp Insurance is looking for a knowledgeable, people-focused Team Lead to guide and develop a team of personal lines insurance sales professionals.

This role is suited to an experienced leader or an emerging leader who has already demonstrated the ability to coach others, step into additional responsibility and positively influence team results. You may currently lead a team, or you may be the person colleagues naturally turn to for guidance, answers and encouragement.

What You’ll Do

Lead, coach and motivate a team of personal lines insurance sales brokers.
Establish clear expectations and help team members work toward individual and team sales goals.
Analyze team performance metrics and workflow outcomes to celebrate successes, navigate challenges and drive professional growth.
Provide regular feedback, recognition and practical development support.
Empower the team to build strong client relationships through expert product knowledge and communication.
Support the team with complex coverage questions, underwriting requirements, insurer guidelines and escalated client situations.
Promote accurate documentation, sound advice and compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate the consistent and timely management of leads and referrals.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency and the overall client experience.
Encourage a healthy, collaborative and accountable approach to achieving results.
Share important insurer, product, process and regulatory updates with the team.
Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support Sharp’s priorities and deliver a seamless client experience.
Lead by example by demonstrating integrity, curiosity, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.

What You Bring

One to three years of experience in a formal leadership role or in a position where you have demonstrated leadership potential through coaching, mentoring or supporting colleagues.
An active Alberta Level 2 General Insurance License.
RIBO Level 1 license is considered an asset.
Experience working as an insurance broker, ideally within personal lines or a high-volume insurance sales environment.
Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, training or supporting colleagues.
Strong insurance knowledge and the judgment to research questions, interpret policy information and seek clarification when required.
An understanding of ethical sales practices, documentation standards and regulatory responsibilities.
Confidence working with sales and retention goals, activity measures and performance information.
Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
The ability to balance business results with exceptional client service.
Comfort learning new technology and helping others adopt new processes.
A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in seeing others succeed.
A growth mindset and passion for continuous learning.
