Stylist – Part-Time, Leadership-Focused Selling

Fossil | 20 Hours/Week

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Fossil, we believe great retail is about more than selling a product—it’s about creating connections.

We’re looking for a Stylist who is passionate about people, fashion, storytelling, and building lasting customer relationships. In this role, you’ll go beyond traditional selling by proactively connecting with customers, creating personalized shopping experiences, hosting appointments, engaging VIP clients, and building excitement around new products and launches.

The Stylist is a leadership-focused selling role and a role model for elevated, relationship-driven selling behaviors within the store. You’ll help create demand rather than simply wait for customers to walk through the door.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build Customer Relationships Through Personalized Selling

Proactively reach out to customers through phone, text, email, and other available channels.
Build and maintain a personal portfolio of customers and VIP clients.
Use customer preferences and purchase history to create personalized product recommendations.
Reconnect with lapsed customers and identify opportunities to bring them back.
Provide personalized styling, gifting, and product recommendations.
Follow up with customers after purchases, appointments, and special events.
Create meaningful connections that encourage repeat visits and long-term loyalty.

Create Exceptional Appointment Experiences

Schedule and host personalized shopping appointments.
Prepare curated product selections based on each customer's needs and preferences.
Learn about the customer's lifestyle, occasion, and personal style.
Provide styling guidance and complete-the-look recommendations.
Create a seamless experience from pre-appointment outreach through post-appointment follow-up.
Make every customer feel recognized, valued, and inspired.

Drive New Product & Launch Selling

Connect with top customers ahead of new collection launches and key gifting periods.
Introduce customers to new and exclusive products.
Build excitement and anticipation around seasonal moments and key categories.
Schedule early-access and launch appointments.
Use product knowledge and storytelling to drive full-price selling.

Deliver Elevated VIP Client Service

Develop and grow a portfolio of VIP customers.
Learn and anticipate customer preferences, purchase history, and needs.
Provide proactive outreach around gifting, launches, special occasions, and key moments.
Create personalized recommendations and curated shopping solutions.
Build relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.

Partner With Store Leadership

Work closely with Store Leadership to identify customer and business opportunities.
Help build weekly outreach and clienteling plans.
Share customer insights and opportunities with the team.
Lead by example and help influence a culture of personalized, relationship-driven selling.
Support the team in elevating the overall customer experience.

Retail, sales, clienteling, styling, hospitality, or customer relationship experience is an asset.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
