Facility Operator- Edberg, AB

Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN) in Edberg, AB is hiring a full time Facility Operator!

About CMN:

Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN) is Alberta largest independent agricultural retailer of fertilizer, seed, and crop protection products. CMN has expanded to 11 locations throughout Central Alberta, which includes two rail terminals. One of our key values at CMN is our commitment to service and logistics excellence; we work side by-side with growers on farm, in the fields, to ensure the right products are in place, at the right time. Crop Management Logistics, a subsidiary of CMN supports that vision and our retail locations by providing logistic services.

Facility Operator at CMN

Reporting to the Operations Lead at the location, the Facility Operator supports the daily efforts of ensuring our equipment, facilities, and warehouse are running as safely and efficiently as possible. With a strong focus on a positive customer experience, they direct customers throughout the location, unload/load product (chem, seed, fertilizer) and deliver product to farm when required. To maintain accurate inventory and account management, the Facility Operator works with the Sales and Administration team at the location to ensure the details of the sale and paperwork is complete. This role is key to CMN upholding our core value of ensuring we get our customers the right products in the right place, at the right time.

Responsibilities

Provide regular updates on inventory levels
Follow maintenance schedules for all equipment and CMN Assets
Complete required Health, Safety & Environment documentation
Assist with the receipt or loading out of product (bulk chemical, seed and fertilizer) to the warehouse; using a loader/forklift
Assist customer pick-up/internal transfers of product
Deliver product to local customers; contact customer for location and arrival time if required.
Unload rail cars of liquid and dry fertilizer
Operate the liquid plant; load and unload liquid fertilizer
Operate and understand liquid pumps
Ensure the facility is kept clean and free of hazards
Greet and direct visitors and customers who arrive at the location for service
Work with Sales & Admin team to ensure a smooth customer experience
Follow Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

Class 1 or 3 licence preferred.
Able to operate a forklift, loader and tractor
Be able to work with minimal supervision
Be self-motivated, a self-starter and be well organized, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have ability to follow safety, production and quality requirements
Must be able to use applicable computer systems for inventory and customer account management. Able to navigate Office 365 Programs (Teams and Outlook)
Able to coordinate and manage several projects at a time
Ability to meet the company’s policy requirements by completing a criminal background check, and drivers abstract
Obtain First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG & Forklift Training
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Able to work overtime in spring season.
Adhere to the company Health, Safety & Environmental Program

In the field:

Longer hours in busy season (spring & early summer)
Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.)
Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
May be required to work at varying heights
Lift 50 - 75 lbs.
