Our boutique spa offers an affordable and convenient way to unwind daily while enhancing social interaction and personal connection. We provide sauna, steam, massage, and cold plunge services in thoughtfully designed spaces that cater to various needs—whether seeking engaging conversation and community or moments of re-energizing and relaxation. We are currently hiring a part-time Relaxation Specialist – Flow [Spa Attendant] to join our team.

Availability Requirements:

Must be available to work 2–4 shifts per week (approximately 12–24 hours weekly).
Evening availability including Friday - Monday from 2:45 PM – 10:45 PM or 5:45-10:45PM.
Weekend availability required.
The spa is open Thursday–Sunday beginning at 8:00 AM and Monday–Wednesday beginning at 3:00 PM. Longer shifts may be available based on operational needs and your availability.
Closing shifts end at 10:45 PM.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.

Please note: Greater availability will result in more opportunities for shifts and additional hours.

Role Overview

The Relaxation Specialist (RS) - Flow plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment while ensuring every guest receives a 5-star experience. This role supports daily operations and enhances guest satisfaction by maintaining the spa’s atmosphere, cleanliness, and safety. You will collaborate with the team to create an exceptional experience for every guest, from assisting with cleaning and laundry to providing high-quality customer service. As a key member of the team, you will also be present during the guest experience, answering questions, providing guidance, and maintaining strong guest connections to elevate their visit.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience:Greet guests warmly, provide facility orientations, and offer assistance throughout their visit. Be present during the guest experience to answer questions, offer guidance, and maintain a strong connection to elevate their overall experience.

Cleaning & Sanitation:Ensure the cleanliness and safety of all spa facilities, including saunas, steam room, cold plunge, washrooms, and common areas. Perform daily cleaning tasks and deep cleaning as needed to maintain a hygienic environment.

Laundry Management:Wash, fold, and stock towels, robes, and linens, ensuring clean linens are always available for guests.

Team Support:Collaborate with the Relaxation Specialist (RS) - Guru to ensure smooth daily operations. Help with various tasks, including deep cleaning and supporting the team in any other required duties.

Administrative Support:Assist with opening and closing procedures to ensure the spa is ready for guests and properly closed down at the end of each day. Support the check-in/check-out process and manage guest interactions as needed.

Guest Experience Enhancement:Ensure the atmosphere aligns with Cedar & Steam’s core values. Maintain an elevated, welcoming environment that supports an exceptional guest experience, addressing any concerns or requests as needed, while consistently maintaining strong standards of service and professionalism in all guest interactions.

Qualifications

Education:

No specific formal education required, but a general understanding of health and wellness is an asset.
AGLC Proserve certificate is required.
Standard | Intermediate First Aid and CPR is an asset.

Experience:.

Customer service experience is essential.
Experience in health club, spa, or hospitality industries preferred.
Previous experience in cleaning is an asset
Previous knowledge of massage therapy and essential oils is ideal.
Experience with MindBody software or similar systems is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a team player and flexible to cover shifts when necessary.
Open-minded and adaptable to new processes.
An understanding of the customer experience and how to elevate it.
