Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Sider Helper and be a vital part of creating durable, high-quality building exteriors! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled carpenters and siding specialists in installing, repairing, and maintaining siding and related exterior components. This position offers a hands-on experience in construction, providing opportunities to develop your skills while contributing to exciting projects. Whether you're new to construction or have some handyman experience, this role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist with the installation and repair of siding using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and drills
Support carpenters in measuring, cutting, and fitting siding materials according to blueprints and project specifications
Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials for efficient workflow
Perform heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and effectively
Apply caulking around windows, doors, and joints to ensure weatherproofing and a clean finish
Read and interpret blueprints to help accurately position siding components
Maintain a clean worksite by disposing of debris and storing tools properly throughout the day

Experience

Prior construction experience or handyman background preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
Familiarity with hand tools used in carpentry or siding installation is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during project tasks
Basic knowledge of blueprint reading helps ensure accurate installation work
Experience with caulking or sealing exterior surfaces is a plus
Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
