Responsibilities

Cut, grind, weld, read and interpret blueprints and sketches, create new blueprints as necessary.
Maintain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the Fabrication Shops daily work requirements, fabrication sequencing, processes, procedures.
Maintain a current understanding of the Shop estimating processes and procedures, current market pricing and other costing related information
Organize, direct, control and evaluate the Metal Shop’s objectives and goals, as related to the overall company strategic plan
Complete required administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner (e.g. time sheets, material requisitions
Participate in coordination of work between the various project teams and departments
Follow all health and safety / personal protective equipment policies, regulations, and legislation
Follow all Defined Designs Quality System procedures and policies

Qualifications and Education Requirements

College or trade school level education, or equivalent work related experience required
Active welding/fabrication certificates or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of hands on welding/fabrication experience
