Job Summary

Must be able to work legally in Canada
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Cafe All rounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that each guest receives a memorable experience. As a Barista/Cafe All rounder, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and providing excellent customer service to create a welcoming environment. You are also expected to prepare sandwiches and other menus according to the chef’s standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Prepare Sandwiches, salads according to the chef’s recipes and standards.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation areas and equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in all food handling practices.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
Engage with customers to build rapport and encourage repeat business.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.
Must work weekends.
