Full job description

Job Overview
We are hiring skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various framing techniques and a solid understanding of building structures. This role involves working with a variety of materials and tools to construct, repair, and restore frameworks for residential projects. The Framer will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. Reliable transportation required, work is in Cochrane, AB.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work with strong attention to details.

Pay is biweekly or as a sub contractor (GST number required). Year round work available.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications
Perform heavy lifting and maneuver materials as needed during construction
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
Efficiently communicate and lead a framing crew
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Experience / Requirements

proven experience as a Framer (3+ years preferred)
strong leadership and communication skills
fluent in English (spoken/written)
experience in reading schematics and technical drawings is essential
expert understanding of roof building systems (truss, rafters, sheathing, etc.)
