Key areas of expansion are focused on Road Construction, Bridge Rehabilitation and Reconstruction programs across the Thunder Bay, Rainy River & Kenora districts.
Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Build, set, and strip formwork for bridge components including decks, piers, abutments, and wing walls

Interpret drawings and assist with layout, elevations, and grade control

Assist with installation of reinforcing steel (rebar) as required

Support concrete placing, vibrating, finishing, and curing operations

Prepare and maintain work areas, including access platforms and falsework

Operate tools and equipment such as skid steers, concrete vibrators, power tools, and hand tools

Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment on site
-
Assist with traffic control and site safety setup when required

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite

Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Work collaboratively with crew members, forepersons, and supervisors

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in heavy civil or structural concrete construction (bridge experience preferred)

Experience with bridge formwork systems and falsework considered a strong asset

Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications

Familiarity with rebar placement and concrete practices

Experience working at heights and around fall protection systems

Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment and heavy equipment

Ability to travel to project sites as required. G-Class driver’s license (preferred)

Able to work long days, flexible work hours and weekends
