K&W Glass Innovations builds custom skylights, canopies, solariums, curtain wall and storefront glazing. We provide high quality glazing solutions and excellent customer service.

Job description

We are looking for an apprentice/installer to join our team!

Responsibilities and duties:

-Fabricate, fit and install metal or aluminum frames for glass installation
-Position pre-cut glass panels into frames and secure glass
-Install pre-build glass panels in frames to form exterior walls of buildings
-Repair and service windows, aluminum doors and other glass products
-Replace damaged glass or faulty sealant
-Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment as needed

-Operate basic power tools in a safe manner

-Provide customer satisfaction in all areas including attention to detail, cleanliness while maintaining a service-minded attitude

The right candidate will have:

-Minimum two years experience installing skylights, curtain wall and storefront glazing

-Good oral communication

-The ability to work well with others

-Problem solving skills

-Decision making skills

-Strong job task planning and organizing skills

-A valid BC Driver’s License

-Punctuality and reliability

Work Environment:

-Working at heights, outdoors in all temperatures and at safety sensitive work sites

-Physically demanding

-Bending, kneeling, crouching

-Lifting/carrying, heavy glass
