Sales Development Representative (SDR)

If so, Gateway Mechanical Services is looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team.

As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers and play a crucial role in our business development strategy. You'll work closely with our Business Development team to identify new opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and open doors to exciting projects across multiple industries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of sales, customer engagement, market research, and strategic support.

What You'll Do

Drive New Business Opportunities

Connect with prospective customers and generate interest in Gateway's services.
Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified prospects and our Business Development Representatives.
Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and identify opportunities.
Research, develop, and expand targeted prospect lists to support growth initiatives.
Conduct outreach campaigns across multiple market segments and territories.
Pre-qualify potential customers to ensure a strong fit with our services.
Support customer validation, onboarding, and account setup processes.
Prepare estimates and responses for Requests for Pricing (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Time & Material Standing Offers.

Support Territory Growth

Assist with the management and renewal of Time & Material Standing Offers.
Provide sales activity reporting and pipeline support.
Help identify new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.

Maintain Data and Sales Intelligence

Keep customer records accurate and up to date within Salesforce CRM.
Track interactions, opportunities, and key customer information to support effective sales strategies.
Contribute valuable market intelligence and customer insights to the sales team.

What You Bring

Required Skills & Experience

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong relationship-building and customer engagement abilities.
Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve results.

Assets

Experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or customer engagement roles.
Previous experience within the HVAC, mechanical services, or refrigeration industry.
Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
