Edmonton Pharmacist

Medigroup Health Services is seeking a Pharmacist in Edmonton, AB who is motivated to learn and further advance their career in pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure customer service needs are met/exceeded for our patients
Work closely and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare personnel within the attached medical clinic environment
Oversee day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and ensure that staff are properly supported
Ensure that the pharmacy operates in accordance with guidelines of the Alberta College of Pharmacists and Health Canada
Support clinical opportunities to enhance patient care
Ensure billing is done correctly, with proper documentation, and in accordance with governed billing requirements
Responsible for inventory management and audit process
Monitor health and safety compliance
Liaise between the pharmacy team and various key stakeholders

Ability to work independently and/or within a team and hold self and others accountable
Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a close-proximity setting
Able to pro-actively utilize clinical skills to support best patient outcomes using patient-centric documentation and the pharmacy practice framework model
Ability to remain organized and to prioritize workloads
Demonstrate superior customer service consistently
Drive results through leadership and engagement
Formulate, prioritize, and execute to achieve desired operational results
Professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Commitment to high professional ethical standards

Qualifications
Must be licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists with the expectation of adherence to the Standards of Practice for Pharmacy Managers/Licensee
Minimum 2 years pharmacist experience in the province of Alberta
APA designation is preferred
Working knowledge of equipment and technology commonly used in the pharmacy environment (e.g. Kroll, Nexxsys)
Previous experience in a pharmacy management role is preferred
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal/external contacts, both orally and in writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office is preferred
