Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Liquor Store Clerk to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and possess a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are considered valuable assets.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
Maintain knowledge of products to provide product demos and upselling opportunities
Ensure the store is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing through merchandising
Verify legal age for alcohol purchase and adhere to all relevant regulations
Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
Process returns, exchanges, and handle cash register operations efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout area
Promote store promotions and special offers to enhance sales

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills is advantageous
Multilingual or bilingual skills (e.g., English plus another language) are a plus for serving diverse customers
Strong communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are essential
Experience in merchandising or product demos can be beneficial
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
